Although I didn’t always see it this way, today I can honestly say that my struggle with infertility has become a shower of gifts. Some get to have baby showers, others get to have showers of emotional gifts because there is no baby. That was definitely the case for me.
I believe that counselling is a healthy habit for all individuals as it provides an opportunity for reflection and personal growth. Unfortunately, there is stigma around counselling and some people talk themselves out of attending a session because they fear that they will be labelled as "someone with issues". It pains me that there is still stigma and misconceptions around counselling in this day and age because I know how transformative counselling can be for one's health and relationships.
